Apartment 137, full of light and sun, with old glazed tiles in every room, is located on the second floor (no elevator) of a fully renewed tile covered building from the 19th century. The apartment is in Santa Catarina, very close to Chiado, Bairro Alto and S. Bento. It is located nearby all kind of shops, restaurants, bars and public transports. The nearest subway station is Baixa-Chiado, at 10 minutes walking distance. There is a public parking at 5 minutes (Silo da Calçada do Combro).

The building underwent full renovation in 2004 and was awarded the second prize in a national competition promoting the reconstruction of old town buildings, with particular attention devoted to the architectural, cultural and social components of the space under intervention. Its major source of beauty are the glazed tiles (azulejos), dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, which are different from room to room, thus rendering the apartment unique.

This apartment has 60 m2 and it has been recently renovated to include the following:

• one living room with a sofa bed, satellite TV, wireless or cable internet connection, and CD player; 
• a dinning room;
• one bedroom with double bed (140 cm wide);
• a kitchen with gas stove and electric oven, fridge with freezer, microwave, washing and dryer machine;
• a bathroom with bathtub.

In wintertime, the apartment is heated with electric radiators.
